Annual Christmas Craft Workshop and Christingle Service

This event took place on Saturday 13th December. Around 20 children, together with parents and carers from across the Teme Valley came together for this joyous occasion.

Many crafts were on offer for all to try, including wreaths, Christmas trees, angels, snowflakes, stained glass effect hanging decorations, winter scene collages, Christmas cards and Nativity masks. The children also enjoyed festive face painting.

All the children prepared Christingles for the service at St Lawrence Church, which followed our busy afternoon of craft making.

During the service we were reminded about the symbolic meaning of the Christingle, we lit the candles, passing the light of Christ on to our neighbours and friends, remembering baby Jesus born at Christmas, and sang  Away in a manger.

Special thanks to all involved in the crafts, refreshments and service, making the afternoon such a huge success.
