Exciting news to share — we have been successful in achieving the Church Award Scheme at Silver Level from the Department for Children, Youth and Education, Diocese of Worcester.
This award scheme, known as Worcester Spirit Mark, is all about celebrating good practice with children and young people, and also identifies ways in which we can improve how we reach out to them, e.g. ways they are welcomed into and included within worship and day to day activities of the church.
After receiving our Bronze Award in 2008, the Silver Award represents a move towards recognizing the excellence of work which parishes within the diocese are achieving, and to maintain and improve already high standards.
This special award has only been possible thanks to all the hard work and dedication from all those involved in children’s ministry in the parish.
We hope to be officially presented with this award by Children’s Officer, Emma Pettifer some time during the autumn term.
