Teme Valley floods July 2012

Dave Throup is the Environment Agency Manager for Herefordshire and Worcestershire. He posted the following set of images to his Flickr site following the heavy rain and floods which affected the Teme Valley and surrounding area in July 2012.

His summary reads

Localised very heavy rain broke out on the afternoon of 13th July in SW Wales. It moved NE, intensified and slowed over South Shropshire. Areas around Ludlow, Cleobury and Tenbury received up to 50mm in 12 hours. Serious flooding on the Rivers Rea and Teme resulted. Around 50 properties were flooded and infrastructure badly impacted.
