The Church moves and your help is needed now more than ever

Yes, the rumours are true, Rev Ted is leaving for a new appointment. Caroline and Ted will move house, probably in July, to be licensed to new parishes on a date yet to be agreed. They will be living less than five miles from Caroline’s parents, which will be a blessing.

This isn’t the ‘magazine farewell article’ which will be in the July editions, rather it is a clarion call for people to get involved with their local church communities and church buildings.

Covid has taken its toll on volunteer staffing and fundraising for local church ‘ministry and masonry’. Now is the time to get on board and help. You don’t need to be a committed Christian to
contribute to local church life, or help with fundraising to maintain the beautiful, if somewhat expensive, church buildings.

Another reason for helping at this time, is that the Church of England will begin a round of negotiations pertaining to church groupings. We need people who will engage with the bigger picture while ensuring that the local concerns are factored in.

If you are interested in helping in any way, Rev Ted is still around during June and is a good contact to start with. Email: or phone 01299 890 100.
